SOUTH WHITEHALL'S SUMMER RECREATIONAL CAMP!

June 10- August 2 (2024) | 9 am- 3 pm | Ages 6- 12

Kids will enjoy sports, games, team building, arts and crafts, fitness, nature-based programs and more. Your one-time fee will include eight weeks of supervision Monday through Friday from 9 am – 3 pm. Our 2023 Summer was so much fun, and we can't wait for the Summer of 2024! 2024 REGISTRATION & GENERAL INFORMATION:

• REGISTRATION IS ONLINE THROUGH OUR RECREATION PORTAL
  • Check your login works properly, and that all registrants have their own account within your household
  • Create New Accounts for yourself (parent/guardian) and all children being registered.
    • New Accounts MUST be approved to verify residency, this could take 24hrs. 

   

• REGISTRATION INFORMATION- South Whitehall Locations:
  • REGISTRATION UPDATE: as of 3/18/24 all sites are full.
    • Please put your child's name on the WAITLIST for your preferred site, and you will be contacted IF a spot becomes available.  
  • Resident Registration- March 4th at 8am
    • 1-Week Priority Registration for SWT Residents at our locations
      • Resident Registration Fee- $275.00/camper 
  • Non-Resident Registration- March 11th at 8am
    • On March 11th Non-Residents could register for any SWT Location with open spots
      • Non-Resident Registration Fee- $325.00/camper
      • Eligible Non-Residents MUST live in the Parkland School District.
  • Refunds or Registration Changes: 
    • The deadline for requesting a Registration Fee Refunds is April 15th
      • Refunds requested after April 15th will not be approved. 
    • Payments do NOT Transfer between Townships.
      • North Whitehall Twp., Upper Macungie Twp, and South Whitehall Twp. are financially separate entities.

Summer Camp Counselors:

• Summer Camp Counselors have the best hours and the most fun!
• You Must be 16 years old to be a counselor. 
• Site Supervisor/Head Counselor applicants must be 18 years old.

 Counselors in Training (CITs):

• Not 16 but interested in being a Counselor? Become a Counselor in Training (CIT). CITs are an important part of our team!
• This is a volunteer position for those 14+ years old who are interested in training to be a counselor.

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:

• Camp runs 8-weeks, Monday- Friday from 9:00am- 3:00pm
• Ages 6- 12 (Must have completed Kindergarten AND be 6 years old. May not turn 13 prior to August 1st of the current year)
• Staff:
  • Camper to Counselor Ratio goal is approximately 1-10.
  • There are two Site Supervisors (Head Counselors) at each site daily.
  • New for 2024 there will be one Camp Supervisor rotating between each site. 
• Campers are separated by age on a daily basis
• Camp is primarily OUTSIDE, with some indoor access. 
• Camp activities may include
  • Both structured and open play time on the playground equipment, sport fields, gymnasium (during inclement weather).
  • On-site visits may include; visiting activities and instructors, ice cream trucks, SWT Fire, Police, and Public Works, and more.
• Lunch is not provided.
  • Campers must bring a packed a lunch daily that does not need to be refrigerated.
• Daily Drop-off is NO EARLIER than 9:00am. 
• Daily Drop-Off is NO LATER than 3:00pm.
  • Late fees will be implemented if necessary. Late fee policy is explained in registration participation forms. 
• Daily attendance- there is no minimum attendance required.
  • If you know your child will be absent, please let the counselors at your site know.
