Pavilion Rentals 

Residents: $85.00     Non-Residents: $150.00

Located between two historic covered bridges along the Jordan Creek, Covered Bridge Park serves as South Whitehall Township's premier community park. This park has three picnic pavilions, baseball fields, soccer fields, handball courts, basketball courts, walking paths, a new one-of-a-kind boardwalk, a disc golf course and much more. The Jordan Creek is stocked with trout by the Pennsylvania Fish Commission multiple times throughout the year. 

The Covered Bridge Park pavilions are available for rental between the months of April through Octover, and can be reserved by individuals, groups, organizations, and companies. Pavilion reservations are made ONLINE, but can also be made in person. The South Whitehall Township Administration Building, located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, is open Monday- Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Payments in person must be via credit card (manually entered), check or money order (cash not accepted). Reservations will only be taken for the current calendar year and fees are subject to change on annual basis.

How to Reserve a Pavilion:

Reservations are taken for the current calendar year only. All Park Rules and Regulations apply to any and all rentals.  No animals are allowed to run at large in the park or recreational areas and shall be controlled by a leash at all times.

  • To Reserve ONLINE:
    • Create an account or Login to your existing account in our Online Portal
    • Click "Facilities" in the top navigation, then choose "Pavilions"
    • Click the green "Reserve" button to choose your date in the facility calendar
    • Checkout!
    • Print the Invoice and bring with you the day of your rental
  • To Reserve via Phone or Email:
    • Reservations take for the current calendar year only
    • Call 610-398-0401 ext. 223 to confirm date/time availability
    • Print and complete the Pavilion Reservation Request Form
    • Mail in or drop off both the payment & the completed request form at the Township building  Form (within one week of calling or Hold on the date will be removed)
    • Check or Money Order ONLY (Cash not accepted)
      • Upon payment, you will receive a copy of the pavilion rental rules and rental request form

Please help us maintain our Park!

  • Place all trash in proper receptacles. 
  • Please check the area around the pavilion before and after your reservation. 
  • Remove any decorations that have been placed on the pavilion or the picnic tables. 
  • Return the tables to their original locations. 
  • Keep amplified music to a minimum so not to disturb other park visitors and park neighbors. 
  • Your cooperation and help is greatly appreciated!

Pavilion Descriptions: 

Mary Ann Bungerz Pavilion (Pavilion #1)
This is the pavilion closest to the Playground and restrooms, and is perfect for groups of 50 or less. The Bungerz Pavilion is the only pavilion that has electrical outlets (four). This pavilion also has 8 picnic tables and 1 grill and is in high demand so make sure you book it early!

Bill Derricott Pavilion (Pavilion #2)
If you are looking for some privacy while still being somewhat close to the Playground and restroom this pavilion is for you! Located east of the Mary Ann Bungerz Pavilion, the Bill Derricott Pavilion overlooks the beautiful Jordan Creek, so make sure you bring your fishing tackle!  This is the next closest pavilion to the Playground and restrooms. This pavilion is perfect for groups of 75 or less and comes equipped with 12 tables and 1 grill. This pavilion does not have electric. This pavilion also books quickly, reserve early!  


Pavilion #3 
Looking for something more private? Do you have a large group or planned family reunion?  This is the perfect pavilion for you!  Located along the creek deep in the eastern part of the park, not far from the footbridge, this pavilion is in close proximity to baseball fields and the Covered Bridge Park disc golf course. Pavilion #3 has 16 tables and 1 grill and is recommended for groups of 100 or less.

  • Take Route 309 northTurn right on Lime Kiln Road (Park Mart on left/Burger King on right)
  • Turn right on Wehr Mill Road Go through covered bridgeTurn left into parking lot

From Cedar Crest Boulevard and Route 22

  • Take Cedar Crest Boulevard north Turn left on Iron Bridge Road (bottom of the hill before the bridge)
  • Turn right on Lapp Road (first stop sign)
  • Turn left on River Road
  • Turn left on Wehr Mill Road
  • Go through covered bridge
  • Turn left into parking lot
