South Whitehall Township, PA
Home MenuTransportation PLAN is an initiative grown out of the South Whitehall Township Comprehensive Plan. Following the adoption of the Comprehensive Plan in March 2023, the Township identified several areas of our transportation network in need of further investigation and planning. South Whitehall is working with the consulting team at Bowman to complete the first three volumes of this plan in 2024. Please check back to this webpage for updates on the plan and how to get involved.

To start the planning process, the Township will reach out to the community to better understand the challenges and opportunities of our transportation network. Public Engagement activities throughout 2024 will include meetings, surveys, and events. Check back for more on this page. |

This will look at identifying and improving the active transportation network in South Whitehall. This plan will develop a vision and framework to improve walking, biking, and all other modes of non-vehicular transportation in the Township. This portion of the project is funded in part by a WalkWorks grant from the PA Department of Health and PA Downtown Center. |

This volume of the plan is focused specifically on the safety of our roadways for both vehicular and non-vehicular users. Following the guidelines of the National Safe Streets and Roads for All Program, this comprehensive safety action plan will identify the significant safety concerns on our roadways and develop strategies to address them. |
